Flu activity continues to increase in Wyoming
Statewide – Influenza data from the Wyoming Department of Health shows that the flu continues to spread in the Cowboy State, with more cases of the flu being reported each week.
From December 3rd through December 9th, the data indicated 412 official cases of the flu, up from 290 cases the previous week.
Keep in mind that the data from the Wyoming Department of Health is likely skewed by those who don’t go to the doctor’s office and receive an official diagnosis. So actual flu cases could be more wide-spread than the data my indicate.
The data in this report shows the flu to be concentrated in the southwestern counties of Sweetwater and Uinta, with each county having over 70 residents with the flu.
The Department of Health says that flu season has yet to peak, so there’s still time to get vaccinated.
