Longhorns Route Belle Fourche 22-0 in Tuesday Night Match-up
Newcastle, WY. – The reigning state champion Newcastle Longhorns remain undefeated after handing the Belle Fourche Bombers a 22 to 0 loss in a nine inning game at Belle Fourche Tuesday night. The Longhorns were able to advantage of Bomber mistakes for several multiple run innings, topped by a 10 run ninth. The Newcastle defense was able to stiffen at critical moments throughout the game and on three occasions Belle Fourche saw innings end with the bases loaded. The Longhorns used three pitchers for the game Ryan Oliver, Cam Quigley and Jake Lacy, while the hapless Bombers used six, with three changes coming in the ninth inning. Newcastle will now take their perfect 10 – 0 record into tournament play this week when they travel to Gillette.
