New $22 million dollar hospital and clinic about to open in Custer
Custer, SD. – A brand new 44,000 square-foot medical facility in Custer is about to open it’s doors to the public. The new hospital/clinic will replace the existing hospital structure, at a cost in the ballpark of $22 million dollars.
The new facility was built to the east of the current building, and will provide emergency services in addition to hospital and clinical care.
The new building will serve the community with eight patient rooms, 18 exam rooms, and a hospice suite.
Funding for the project came in the form of a private-public partnership between the city of Custer and Regional Health of Rapid City.
The new facility is scheduled to open April 30th.
