Remains of Man Missing for 7 Years Found Along River Near Centennial
Centennial, WY. – On July 10th, the Albany County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of possible human remains located along the Laramie River, just north of Highway 130 near Centennial WY.
During the investigation it was determined the remains were that of Keith Lantz who went missing on July 3, 2011 near his property on Broken Bridge Road. During that investigation it was suspected that Mr. Lantz had fallen into the river while it was in flood stages, and drowned.
An extensive search of the river was conducted over a period of three months in 2011 involving the Albany County Sheriff’s Office and search and rescue, Larimer County search and rescue, Army ROTC, WYO Tech students, various K9 teams and numerous volunteer’s. During those searches only clothing belonging to Mr. Lantz were located.
The search was eventually suspended and Mr. Lantz was eventually declared deceased by the Albany County District Court.
