Veterans’ retirement home to be considered at committee meeting
Sheridan, WY. — The Joint Transportation, Highways and Military Affairs Committee is debating on building a retirement home for veterans in Wyoming. The committee will debate over the possiblility of the facility in a meeting Monday in Thermopolis.
In the proposal, a nursing home with 24 rooms, and the ability to provide more medical care options than what is currently offered at the Veterans Home of Wyoming.
The cost of such a facility would be close to $6 million, some of which would be covered by federal grants.
