Wyoming Basketball Lands 2 More Recruits
LARAMIE, WY. (AP) — Wyoming basketball coach Allen Edwards has signed two more recruits to the 2019-20 roster.
They are 6-foot-9, 220-pound junior college big man Tyler Morman of Florida Southwestern College and 6-11, 230-pound Omaha prep product Javier (Zha-VEE’-air) Turner.
Edwards says the two fit a need in terms of size and athletic ability.
Morman helped lead Southwestern Florida to the Elite Eight of the Junior College National Tournament this past season, averaging 4.4 points and 4.7 rebounds per game.
Turner averaged 10.4 points and 6.5 rebounds a game at Omaha Northwest High School.
The duo will join previously announced recruits Kenny Foster, junior college guard Greg Milton III and Denver guard Kwane Marble on the Pokes roster.
