Wyoming Personal Income Up Last Summer

The federal Bureau of Economic Analysis says personal income in Wyoming rose by 3.3 percent in late summer.

The Casper Star-Tribune reports that’s similar to other Rocky Mountain states. Personal income was up 3.1 percent in Montana and 5.3 percent in Colorado.

Most of Wyoming’s personal income growth happened in the construction industry. Overall personal income fell for people employed in farming and mining.

Personal income was up even as Wyoming’s population continues to decline as a result of a downturn in the fossil-fuels industries.
