200 Acres to be added to Black Hills National Cemetery

Sturgis, SD.  –  Following the lead of the U.S. House, the Senate has now also passed a bill that will expand the existing 107 acre Black Hills National Cemetery by nearly 200 acres. The land is currently owned by the Bureau of Land Management but will be transferred over to the Black Hills National Cemetery which is located along Interstate 90 near Sturgis, South Dakota.

More than 28,000 veterans and their families are buried at Black Hills National Cemetery, veterans from Wyoming, Nebraska and Montana are interred within the bounds of the national cemetery.
