$500K Bond for Man Accused of Firing Gun in Casper Hospital

CASPER, WY. (AP) — A 20-year-old Wyoming man accused of firing multiple gunshots inside a Casper hospital has told a judge that he was on LSD at the time and went to the hospital to seek help.

Police apprehended Mitchell Taylor, of Casper, about 1:25 a.m. Monday after they say he fired a handgun multiple times inside Wyoming Medical Center. Nobody was injured in the incident.

The Casper Star-Tribune reports Taylor appeared in court Tuesday on two counts of aggravated assault, property damage and use of a firearm while committing a felony. Judge Steven Brown set his bond at $500,000.

Taylor told the judge that he was overdosing on LSD that night and didn’t remember any of the events described by police before the judge cut him off.
