Alcohol related crashes down in Wyoming, data says
Cheyenne, WY. – Preliminary data from the Wyoming Highway Patrol shows that the number of alcohol related crashes in the state were down last year, dropping by 24 percent.
542 alcohol-related crashes occoured in Wyoming during 2017, down from 712 in the previous year, according to the incomplete data.
The final numbers are likely to change, as the department is still waiting on some toxicology screens before the data can be considered official, but Sgt. Kyle McKay expects that the 2017 numbers will still come in under 2016 totals.
