Former Riverton Wrestlers Get Jail Time for Hazing Incident

Casper, WY. (AP)  –     Three former Riverton High School wrestlers have received jail sentences for their roles in hazing teammates during a team trip earlier this year in Natrona County.

KTWO-AM reports that on Monday, 18-year-old Peyton Rees was sentenced by Circuit Judge Michael Patchen to eight days in jail, which can be served on weekends. He will also serve one year of probation and must complete 100 hours of community service.

Rees pleaded guilty earlier to two misdemeanor counts of unlawful contact.

Last week, 18-year-old Hayden Wempen and 18-year-old James Hampton were each sentenced for unlawful contact to 20 days in jail, followed by six months of unsupervised probation.
