Three injured in southeast Wyoming oilfield blast, fire

CARPENTER, Wyo. (AP) – An oilfield explosion in southeast Wyoming has injured three workers. Laramie County Fire District No. 5 officials say the workers were hospitalized after the blast late Thursday.

Their identities and conditions weren’t available Friday.

The explosion happened near Carpenter, a small community 20 miles southeast of Cheyenne.

Companies have drilled dozens of deep oil wells in a wide area east and south of Cheyenne over the past decade.
