Wyoming Game Managers Catch Antler Poachers in Jackson Hole
JACKSON, WY. (AP) — The Wyoming Game and Fish Department says it caught several people illegally collecting antlers in the Jackson Hole region this spring.
Under Wyoming law, people are prohibited from collecting antlers from Jan. 1 through April 30 in the western part of the state.
South Jackson Game Warden Kyle Lash caught a handful of antler poachers, including one 44-year-old Idaho man who was caught twice in March.
That man was sentenced to 10 days in jail, fined $420 and lost his hunting and fishing privileges in Wyoming and 48 other states for one year.
In another case, a Wyoming man was fined $1,720 and lost his hunting and fishing privileges for two years.
